Wow! What an experience. I've been in Kansas for almost 2 years and this is the first time that I've been through such a thing.
Manhantan is the name of the town I live in. It's a small town, a college town actually. Last wednesday night, there was a tornado. It cut accross the town and also the campus. Just the damage to my university is about $20M dollars already. Several buildings were completely destroyed and some were heavily damaged.
When it came, I was on campus. The building I was in was really really close to the tornado's path, like 200-300 m. But we didn't know that it was that close, we were just so excited about it.
After the tornado, we went out taking pictures. There were trees, branches, trunks, electric poles, wires all over the place. The place was a big mess but there're still so many people came out taking pictures.
It was quite scary. Even though the tornado was not that strong but it still caused a lot of damage. Don't ask why didn't I go out there taking picture of the tornado. If you were me, you would have done the same thing. JUST RUNNNN...
